The rule of mix
- Chewy: cola bottles, jelly babies, fried eggs.
- Fizzy: sour worms, sherbet-coated sweets.
- Hard: boiled sweets that last.
- Chocolate: mice, buttons and coated nuts.
- Something unusual: a liquorice or an aniseed twist.
How much?
A typical "quarter" — about 113 g, a quarter of a pound — is plenty for one person. For a film night, plan on 100–150 g per person. Try the bag builder on our home page.
Hygiene and allergens
Always use the scoops or tongs, never your hands. Loose sweets can come into contact with each other, so if you have a food allergy, ask staff for allergen information before you choose.
Storing leftovers
Keep sweets in an airtight jar, away from heat and sunlight. Store chocolate separately, and keep fizzy sweets apart from soft jellies — moisture makes the sherbet coating clump.
